1st Year Student Expelled for His Video on Instagram
A student of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Omer Yener, was about to be excluded, and has been permanently expelled for a mocking video he posted on the Internet. This was reported by the Public Affairs Office of the university.
A 1st year student of the Faculty of Theology of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Omer Yener in a conversation with his friends, broadcasted live on Instagram, he mocked New Year’s celebration in Bishkek and the Kyrgyz people. This live chat has been recorded and posted on social media, leading to discussion.
Following this incident, Omer Yener posted a video of him asking forgiveness from the Kyrgyz people and the entire Manas University.
Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was established in international status to strengthen friendship, cooperation among the nations of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, and other Turkic-speaking peoples. The video of the student is not compatible with the objective of the university and its content conveys solely the student’s personal opinion.
