On February 22 the University Rector, Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balci, and Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Anvarbek Mokeyev, held an evening of conversation with the students of the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary. The event was attended by the teaching staff of the faculties and students.

The evening of conversation started with the introductory video to the university. During the conversation the Rector spoke on the opportunities offered by the faculties, human qualities necessary for success, and shared his experience.  During his speech he noted: “At present in Kyrgyzstan demands placed on graduates of the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary are growing. The chances you have to lead a successful career in both spheres are higher.”

In addition, he encouraged them to love their professions, and advised them to put their knowledge into practice more. The Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Anvarbek Mokeyev, invited them to be all-round and improve their command of foreign languages.

At the end of the meeting the students who attended the evening received answers to their questions.  
We remind that an evening of conversation has been held with the students of the Faculty of Communication.

The list of some of the questions given by students at the evening of conversation:

1. Student: Why is the Mevlana Exchange Programme no longer available for the Veterinary Faculty Students?

Rector: There have been some changes to the Mevlana Programme, as a result it is no longer available for some of the faculties. This limitations have not been imposed by the university. Since it is a programme of Turkey, we cannot introduce any changes. However, in the next meeting I am going to recommend the Veterinary Facultie’s inclusion.

2. Student: Is it possible to include English Language classes into the curriculum along with Turkish and Kyrgyz starting from the preparatory course?

Rector: Teaching a language by force has never been successful. A student will learn a language himself as long as he or she has the desire. English Language classes are being held three times a week for those who managed to get in the preparatory course with high scores.

3. Student: I cannot enter the campus on my car after 18:00. Is it possible to solve the problem?

Rector: The students of the university can enter the campus at any time they wish. However, the safety of the university is also important. How and with whom you are entering the campus is controlled. We will certainly consider this question.
