Meeting of Rectorate with the Students of the Faculty of Economy and Management


On December 8, the rector of the university Sabahattin Baljy and vice-rector Asylbek Kulmyrzaev met with the teacher staff and students of the faculty of communication.

The rector of the university mainly stressed on the problems of the faculty, and vice-rector Asylbek Kulmyrzaev noted, that the radio "Manas" must have a distinguished feature in contrast with other radios in order to interest the audience.

In addition, the office of public relations and advertising raised the initiative to open the lab. 

Reminding, last week there was a meeting with students of the Faculty of Economics and Management.

The questions that were asked by students at the meeting:

1. Will there be a laboratory for the students of the Department of public relations and advertising?

Sebahattin Baljy: If students want the lab to be opened, it will be obligatory. This year we will add this project in the work plan. 

2. Is it possible to practice not only in Turkey but also in Europe? 

Sebahattin Baljy: We have led negotiations with countries such as Russia. But, most of them are on a paid basis. You are being trained in the best TV channels, radios of Turkey, and they are all free. For us it is very convenient, but if you want to practice in other countries, we will continue the negotiations. 

3. How you spend your day? How many hours a day do you sleep?

Sebahattin Baljy: I sleep five hours a day. The rest hours I work. Early in the morning I check email. I have at least 2 or 3 meetings and meetings with 10 people a day. After work I read books or run.

4. Whose works do you read?

Sebahattin Baljy: From my 12 years old I read the works of Chyngyz Aitmatov. Also, I read the Turkish and English literature.

5. If the rector was drowning, how would you have saved?

Sebahattin Baljy: (Laughs) Vice-Rector can swim. But if he was drowning, I would have saved him with all my strength.
