The first place in a video contest held by the European Union Delegation in the Kyrgyz Republic has been taken by the team consisting of students from the Faculties of Communication and Economics.

In the contest the participants prepared videos on the theme “Democracy is”. In total, more than 70 videos had been sent for the contest, and winners were selected in two categories. In the first category works by students under 17 were assessed, whereas in the second category the contest was held among those over 17. 

2nd year students of the Faculty of Communication, Salamat Shakirov, Azamat Kadyrov, and a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Economics, Timur Bapiyev, prepared a video on democracy as a team. At the end the team led by Salamat Shakirov was ranked first, and awarded MacBook Air notebooks and gifts. Salamat Shakirov said: “The whole team couldn’t believe we had won. We are happy that the work we have done paid off.”
