A Journalism Student Became the Winner in the “Green Blogger” Nomination


On November 23 of this year a 3rd year student at the Department of Journalism, Kamila Kalchakeyeva, became the winner in the “Green Blogger” nomination in the “Green Economy” competition held within the framework of the Green Economy Forum. The forum has been organized by the Ministry of Economy, the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation, and Biz Expert Organization.


The solemn event took place at Hyatt Hotel; the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Tolkunbek Abdygulov, presented the winners with awards. The winners received tablets, cellphones, and diplomas.
In total, 230 participants competed in 6 nominations in the competition, preparing TV, radio materials, and articles on the topic “Green Economy”.


The winner in the “Green Blogger” nomination, Kamila Kalchakeyeva, said: “I had not expected that I would receive this nomination. I was very happy to learn I had been announced winner. I dedicate this victory to my mother.”
We would like to add that Kamila Kalchakeyeva took first place in the TV Coverage category of the Media Butterfly competition two years ago.
