Rector Holds Evening of Conversation with Economics Faculty Students

The University Rector, Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balci, and Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Anvarbek Mokeyev, have held an evening of conversation with the students of the Faculty of Economics and Management.

The evening of conversation started with an introductory video to the university. During the conversation the Rector spoke on the opportunities offered by the Faculty of Economics and Management, human qualities necessary for success, and shared his experience. During his speech he said: “It is possible that you will be applying the knowledge you’ve gained over five years only during the next five years. Because a rapidly changing and developing world requires constant learning. It is erroneous to think that the knowledge you’ve acquired at university would be enough for a lifetime. There is a need to grow, study throughout one’s life, learn in conformity with the modern times.” He also encouraged the students to properly use means of communication and new technologies.

The Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Anvarbek Mokeyev noted: “It is sad to see students that don’t study despite the opportunities they have today. We used to have difficulty finding books for reading. The books that we did find, oftentimes, lacked pages which left us with no choice but to stop at the interesting part. In today’s favorable conditions seize the opportunity to learn.”

At the end of the meeting they answered the questions given by the students.

We note that an evening of conversation has been held with the students of the Faculty of Theology.
