The initiators were the students of Kyrgyz-Turkish "Manas"University. The management of the Guinness Book of records has accepted the application for registration of the world's largest Kyrgyz national hat ‘ Kalpak’. About it, informed one of the producers of the headdress Soltobek Erkin.

Reminding that 2.7 meter ‘Kalpak’ was made of white felt in honor of national ‘Kalpak’ day, 5th of March.

At the moment, the biggest national hat is in the building of Economics and Management Faculty, in University campus.
