Manas University has won first place at a students festival entitled “Common Heritage of Nomadic Peoples, Appeal for Unity”.  This event had been organized by Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani Eastern University among higher educational institutions.

    During the festival national items, clothing and dishes were displayed. Students tried their strength at contests on ethno-hits, ethno-dances and ethno-food.

    At the end the third and second places were taken by Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani Eastern University. As for the 1st place, Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was named the winner. The winners were presented with certificates and gifts.

    The purpose of the festival was to show more of the culture of nomadic peoples and strengthen unity among nations.
